About Ekam-In Scholar

Ekam-In Scholar is an education-focused learning platform committed to delivering personalized, engaging and concept-driven learning experiences. We work with students across different geographies, helping them develop strong academic foundations, independent thinking and practical application skills.

We are looking for enthusiastic and competent Mathematics and Science teachers who are comfortable teaching international curricula, particularly CCSS and NGSS, and can make complex concepts accessible, engaging and meaningful for students.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mathematics Teaching

- Teach Mathematics to students in Grades 6–12, following CCSS-aligned learning objectives.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge across middle-school and high-school Mathematics.
- Cover topics including:
- Number Systems and Arithmetic
- Ratios, Proportions and Percentages
- Algebra and Linear Equations
- Geometry and Mensuration
- Statistics and Probability
- Functions and Graphs
- Trigonometry
- Advanced Algebra and Pre-Calculus, wherever applicable.
- Develop conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Connect mathematical concepts to real-life situations and practical applications.

2. Science Teaching

- Teach Science to students in Grades 9 – 12, preferably with familiarity with NGSS frameworks.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in one or more of the following:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Earth and Space Science
- Environmental Science.
- Encourage scientific inquiry, observation,



experimentation and evidence-based reasoning.
- Help students understand scientific concepts through practical examples, demonstrations and application-based activities.
- Develop students' ability to analyze scientific information and interpret data.

3. Curriculum Planning & Assessment

- Plan lessons aligned with CCSS and NGSS learning standards.
- Prepare worksheets, assessments, quizzes and assignments.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress.
- Identify learning gaps and provide appropriate academic support.
- Maintain individual student performance records and share constructive feedback.
- Adapt teaching strategies according to individual learning requirements.

4. Classroom & Student Engagement

- Conduct interactive, student-centerd online classes.
- Encourage questioning, independent thinking and active participation.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Ensure that students understand concepts rather than simply memorizing procedures or information.
- Maintain professional communication with parents and the academic coordination team.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or a related discipline.
- Teaching experience in Mathematics and Science for Grades 6–12.
- Good understanding of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).




- Familiarity with NGSS is highly desirable for Science teachers.
- Ability to teach students following US/international curricula.
- Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and explain them effectively.
- Comfortable using digital teaching tools and online classroom platforms.
- Ability to prepare customized learning materials and assessments.

Work Requirements

- Mode: Online teaching.
- Student interaction: Primarily one-to-one classes.
- Grades: 6–12.
- Curriculum: CCSS / NGSS.
- Flexible teaching schedules, subject to student requirements and teacher availability.
- Preparation of lesson plans, assignments and performance records is an integral part of the role.
