Role & responsibilities

- Conceptualizes CAM programme operations (for each 3D model) on the software
- Defines cutting tools on the software, based on the CAM programme
- Selects cutting tools as per the 3D model profiles and maps the tools to each stage in the CAM programme operations on the software
- Defines cutting strategies and parameters on the software
- Generates the CAM programme and verifies the same on the software - Runs the tool path simulation based on the generated CAM programme
- Generates NC code from post-processor file
- Performs NC code simulation by using NC code output as an input (NC code simulation)
- Runs the CAM programme on the NX 3D virtual machine provided within the software (Virtual simulation) - Validates geometry model (3D model) against 2D drawing received from the process design team/client
- Assembles part geometry in work holding device (fixture)



on the NX 3D virtual machine template in the software - Supports process engineers in implementing CAM programme for part generation on the CNC machine - Analyzes QC reports and decides corrective actions
- Implements corrective actions and conducts reiterations - Creates set up sheets (including tool information) and work instructions (sequence of operations with respect to NC code) to be used by CNC operators

Preferred candidate profile Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Mechatronics/Automobile

B.E in Mechanical/Production/Mechatronics/Automobile (preferred) CAM tool 7+ years of experience in NX CAM (B.E)

8+ years of experience in NX CAM (Diploma) Knowledge of cutting tools (preferred), knowledge of NX CAD (preferred), knowledge of GD&T; (geometrical dimensioning & tolerancing) (mandatory)

Experience with CNC machines (micro machines) (mandatory), experience with FANUC Controller (preferred)
