Role Description The Business Development Intern role at UrbanScholar is an in office internship based in Bengaluru. The intern will support market research, lead generation, and outreach to prospective institutional and individual partners. Daily responsibilities include assisting with sales presentations, updating CRM or contact databases, coordinating meetings, and preparing basic reports and summaries.

The intern will help draft emails and communication materials,



follow up on inquiries, and contribute to campaigns that promote UrbanScholar’s programs. This role offers exposure to business development processes in the education sector and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support growth initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with students, partners, and team members.
- Interest in business development, sales, or marketing within the education or edtech domain.
- Basic proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, document editors) and online collaboration platforms.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct simple market research, organize data, and prepare concise reports.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, manage time effectively, and take initiative under guidance from supervisors.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or postgraduate program in business, management, marketing, or a related field (other disciplines with strong interest in business development are also welcome).
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for career-focused learning, student engagement, and supporting growth in an educational setting.
