Job Title: CNC Programmer

Experience: 8–9 Years

Qualification: 12th Pass / Graduate

1. Job Purpose

To develop, program, operate, and optimize CNC machines to ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing of components as per engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards. The role involves CNC programming, machine setup, tooling selection, process optimization, troubleshooting, and ensuring production targets are achieved with minimum rejection and downtime.

2. Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop, write, and modify CNC programs for machining operations as per component drawings and specifications.
- Work on CNC machines such as CNC Turning, CNC Milling, VMC, HMC, and other relevant machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and machining instructions.
- Prepare CNC programs using G-code and M-code.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Perform machine setting, tool setting, and job setup before production.
- Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and maintain product quality as per specifications.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and support quality checks during production.
- Troubleshoot CNC programming and machining-related issues.
- Monitor machine performance and minimize machine downtime.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Design departments.
- Maintain CNC programs, tooling records, and production documentation.
- Ensure proper utilization of raw materials, tools, and machine resources.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain 5S standards on the shop floor.
- Guide and support CNC machine operators whenever required.

3. Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum qualification:



12th Pass / Graduate.
- 8–9 years of relevant experience in CNC Programming and Machining.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming using G-code and M-code.
- Hands-on experience with CNC Turning / CNC Milling / VMC / HMC machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool offsets, machining parameters, and fixtures.
- Experience in machine setup, program editing, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Siemens NX, or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Understanding of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, and Height Gauge.
- Knowledge of production planning, quality standards, and process optimization.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to independently develop and optimize CNC programs.
- Candidates who can handle programming, machine setup, and production-related troubleshooting will be preferred.
