A Bancassurance Manager acts as a bridge between an insurance company and a partner bank. Their primary goal is to drive the sale of insurance products (such as life, health, or general insurance) through assigned bank branches and staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Sales & Target Achievement: Drive and achieve monthly and annual insurance sales targets through assigned bank branches and staff.
- Bank Staff Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with bank branch managers, tellers, and customer relationship officers (CIFs) to motivate them to refer walk-in customers.
- Lead Generation & Conversion: Generate leads from bank walk-ins and existing bank customer databases, conduct joint sales calls, and pitch insurance/financial plans.
- Training & Coaching: Conduct regular product training, skill workshops, and orientation sessions for bank employees so they can spot cross-selling opportunities.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all insurance applications follow regulatory guidelines, keep proper documentation, and help maintain low mis-selling and complaint rates.
- After-Sales & Persistency: Provide post-sales support, handle renewals, assist with claim processing, and ensure high policy persistency rates.





Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelors degree in any stream (commerce, finance, or business preferred).

- 1 to 5 years of experience in BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sales or channel sales.
- Certifications: Insurance/regulatory certifications (such as III - Insurance Institute of India) are a strong advantage.
- Key Competencies: Robust relationship-building, communication, negotiation, target-orientation, and stakeholder management skills.
