Hiring for a Legal Counsel in Mumbai for Cross-border Payments.

Job responsibilities:

- Provide legal support and advice to the Payments business across Asia-Pacific and

Europe, Middle East and Africa jurisdictions on client-related transactional matters

- Review, negotiate, draft and finalize contracts with the Bank’s borrowers, customers and partner banks based on internal guidance and standard operating procedures
- Liaise and coordinate with local, regional and global legal counterparts, and functional and business partners on legal issues
- Support cross-border and cross-business activities and projects by identifying and addressing legal considerations and execution requirements
- Instruct and work with outside counsel
- Contribute to projects that improve operational processes to increase the efficiency and scalability of legal support





Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

- Qualified lawyer with 6+ years of post-qualification legal experience
- Solid drafting, negotiation and legal analytical skills
- Ability to communicate well and work in a cross-functional, cross-jurisdiction team to achieve common goals
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and respond to business needs and goals

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

- Experience in cash management and liquidity products
- Experience in electronic commerce and/or merchant acquiring
- Experience with financial market infrastructure and/or credit transaction
