: Automation Test Lead (AI, Python)

About the Role

You will own the quality of migrated workloads. You will define and run the test and validation approach so that each migration wave is accepted with confidence. You will lead test automation, use AI and Python to speed up validation and reporting, and give the final sign-off on wave readiness before cutover.

Key Responsibilities

- Test strategy: Define the test strategy, acceptance criteria and validation checklists for each migration wave.
- Automation: Build and maintain automated functional, performance and post-migration tests in Python, and embed them in CI/CD pipelines.
- Validation: Validate migrated workloads against their source environments. This covers functional parity, configuration, data integrity, connectivity and performance baselines.
- AI-driven testing: Apply AI/ML tools and LLM-assisted techniques to generate test cases, detect anomalies, analyse results and speed up defect triage.
- Defect management: Track, triage and report defects through to closure. Work with migration engineers, application owners and infrastructure teams on root cause and fixes.
- Reporting: Produce clear, accurate dashboards and status reports on test coverage, pass rates, open risks and defect trends.
- Wave sign-off:



Assess readiness against exit criteria and give formal go/no-go sign-off ahead of cutover.
- Team leadership: Lead and mentor test engineers, set automation standards and promote reusable frameworks across waves.

Required Skills and Experience

- Solid test automation and QA experience in cloud or infrastructure migration projects (AWS, Azure or GCP).
- Proficient in Python scripting and test frameworks (pytest, Robot Framework or similar).
- Hands-on CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps).
- Working knowledge of performance testing (JMeter, Locust, k6), security testing and data-integrity validation.
- Experience with API and infrastructure testing, and with source-to-target reconciliation.
- Attention to detail and the ability to report clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience defining test strategy, entry/exit criteria and release-readiness sign-off.

Preferred Qualifications

- Practical use of AI/GenAI for testing (test generation, log analysis, anomaly detection).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with defect and test management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Xray).
- Exposure to database and data migration validation tools.
- ISTQB or relevant cloud certification.
