Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and responsible Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. The candidate will be responsible for dispensing medicines accurately, maintaining pharmacy records and inventory, ensuring proper storage of medicines, and supporting safe and effective pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Dispense medicines and medical supplies as per valid prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage, medication, frequency, and potential discrepancies before dispensing.
- Provide appropriate instructions to patients regarding medication usage when required.
- Maintain accurate records of medicines dispensed and pharmacy transactions.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines as per manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor medicine expiry dates and maintain proper stock rotation.
- Maintain adequate stock levels and raise requirements for timely replenishment.
- Receive medicines and verify quantity, batch number, expiry date, and condition against purchase documents.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and conduct periodic stock verification.
- Maintain proper records for controlled, restricted, and high-alert medications as applicable.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, hospital administration, and suppliers when required.
- Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organized,



and maintained according to hospital standards.
- Follow hospital SOPs, pharmacy protocols, infection-control practices, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Report medication-related discrepancies, adverse reactions, or inventory issues to the appropriate authority.
- Support internal audits and maintain pharmacy documentation.

Qualification:

- D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council.

Experience:

- 1–5 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
- Freshers with the required qualification and registration may also be considered.
- Good knowledge of medicines, dosage forms, storage requirements, and pharmacy practices.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with pharmacy/inventory software preferred.

- Ability to work effectively with doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff.
