Description Guru Kashi University is seeking a qualified, energetic, and motivated Assistant Professor in Physical Education to contribute to excellence in teaching, sports training, physical fitness, research, and academic development. Minimum Qualification

Ph.D. in Physical Education or a relevant discipline is mandatory as per UGC/University norms. Candidates should possess an excellent academic and professional record along with a passion for teaching, sports training, research, and student mentoring.

Experience

3-4 years of relevant experience in teaching and/or professional activities in Physical Education. School-level teaching experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical teaching in Physical Education.




- Conduct physical training, sports coaching, fitness sessions, and practical demonstrations.
- Plan and implement sports and physical education programmes for students.
- Develop, review, and update curriculum and teaching methodologies in line with academic standards.
- Mentor students in sports activities, fitness programmes, and career development.
- Organize and coordinate sports events, tournaments, competitions, and athletic activities.
- Promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among students.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly articles in reputed national and international journals.
- Guide students in sports-related projects, assignments, and research activities.
- Participate in departmental administration, accreditation, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Organize workshops, seminars, coaching camps, and other academic and sports activities.
- Contribute to the overall academic, sports, and institutional development of the university.
