: Architectural Designer – Design & Site Execution

About the Role

We are looking for an Architectural Designer who can prepare accurate drawings, create 3D visuals and support projects on site until completion. You will work in feet and inches and coordinate with the design team, contractors and vendors. This role suits B.Arch graduates and Diploma in Architecture holders who enjoy both design work and site execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and Documentation

- Prepare working drawings in AutoCAD: plans, sections, elevations, ceiling and flooring layouts, joinery details and service drawings, in feet and inches
- Assist in developing concept and design-development drawings for residential, commercial and interior projects
- Create 3D models in SketchUp and produce renders for client presentations
- Incorporate inputs from structural, MEP and other consultants into the drawings
- Prepare material schedules, finish schedules and basic BOQs
- Make revisions based on client and team feedback within deadlines

Site Execution
- Visit project sites Rare to verify dimensions and check that work matches the approved drawings
- Coordinate with contractors, carpenters, electricians, painters and other vendors
- Check material quality, finishes and workmanship against specifications
- Report site progress and issues to the design head or project manager
- Support handover, snagging and final finishing

General




- Manage assigned tasks across multiple projects and deliver on time
- Maintain organized drawing files, material libraries and 3D assets

Qualifications
- B.Arch from a Council of Architecture (COA) recognised institution, or
- Diploma in Architecture from a recognised institution

Note: The title "Architect" is reserved for COA-registered professionals. Diploma holders will work under the designation of Architectural Designer / Assistant.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) for working drawings
- Working knowledge of SketchUp for 3D modelling
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior and structural drawings
- Comfortable working in feet and inches for drawings, measurements and site coordination
- Basic knowledge of materials, finishes, joinery and construction methods

Positive to Have
- Knowledge of Lumion, Enscape or D5 Render
- Basic Adobe Photoshop for render post-processing
- Understanding of BOQ, material estimation and site measurements
- Experience in residential, commercial or interior projects
- Portfolio showing drawings and executed projects

Experience
- 3 years of relevant experience in architecture or interior design
- Candidates from architecture firms, or from the construction and real estate industry, can apply
- At least 3 year of site exposure preferred
- Freshers with a strong portfolio and AutoCAD skills may also apply (edit as needed)
