Wipro is seeking an AI Engineer to implement and test agent nodes on a production Agentic AI platform for a large-scale healthcare technology engagement. You will work within an established LangGraph architecture, building individual agent nodes, tool integrations, and LLM-powered processing steps under the technical direction of the Senior AI Engineer and AI Architect. This is a hands-on implementation role for an engineer who is proficient in Python and eager to work on production clinical AI at scale.

Responsibilities

- Implement individual LangGraph agent nodes per agreed specifications: data retrieval, clinical assessment, evidence gathering, decision evaluation, and recommendation.

- Build and maintain tool wrappers in the AI Tool Layer for enterprise clinical service integrations (claims, Rx, clinical documents, clinical model rules).

- Write and optimize LLM prompt templates for relevance scoring and document processing tasks.

- Implement error handling, retry logic, and circuit breaker patterns within agent nodes.

- Instrument nodes with OpenTelemetry spans and structured audit log events.

- Write unit and integration tests for all implemented nodes and tool integrations.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards within the team.





- Support integration testing, debugging, and defect resolution through the testing phase.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years software engineering experience; 3+ year working with LLM APIs or AI application development.

- Python: async programming, REST API consumption, clean modular code.

- LLM integration: experience calling LLM APIs (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or equivalent); function/tool calling, prompt construction, response parsing.

- LangGraph or LangChain: working knowledge of agent node patterns, state management, and tool use. Production experience a robust plus.

- Azure fundamentals: containerized workloads on AKS, Azure services consumption.

- Testing discipline: unit tests, integration tests, and test-driven development practices.

- Comfortable working within a defined architecture under senior technical direction.

Preferred Skills

- Healthcare or regulated industry exposure: HIPAA awareness, PHI handling, clinical data types.

- Familiarity with clinical coding systems: RxNorm, CPT, ICD-10, SNOMED-CT.

- OpenTelemetry instrumentation experience.

- Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, or event-driven architectures.
