Job Purpose To perform 2D Echocardiography and ECG investigations efficiently and accurately, ensure proper patient preparation, maintain diagnostic records, assist cardiologists, and provide quality patient care in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.

Roles and Responsibilities – 2D Echo

- Perform 2D Echocardiography examinations as prescribed by the treating doctor.
- Conduct M-Mode, 2D Echo and Colour Doppler studies.
- Perform PW Doppler and CW Doppler examinations.
- Acquire good-quality cardiac images and Doppler recordings.
- Assess and record cardiac chamber dimensions and relevant measurements.
- Assist the cardiologist during echocardiography procedures.
- Prepare patients and explain the procedure before examination.
- Maintain patient details, Echo images and examination records.
- Ensure timely completion of Echo investigations.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of Echo equipment.
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Ensure all Echo reports are forwarded to the cardiologist for interpretation and authorization.

Roles and Responsibilities – ECG

- Perform routine 12-lead ECG examinations as prescribed.
- Prepare patients and explain the ECG procedure.
- Ensure correct electrode placement and patient positioning.
- Obtain clear and accurate ECG tracings.
- Identify technical abnormalities such as lead disconnection, artefacts and baseline disturbances.
- Immediately inform the treating doctor or cardiologist about suspected urgent ECG abnormalities or critical symptoms, following hospital escalation protocols.




- Maintain ECG records and patient investigation files.
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of ECG machines.
- Maintain adequate ECG paper, electrodes and other consumables.
- Follow infection control and biomedical waste management procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate with OPD, IPD, Emergency and other departments for ECG investigations.

General Responsibilities

- Maintain professional behaviour and discipline.
- Ensure patient identification before every investigation.
- Obtain patient cooperation and provide proper assistance.
- Follow hospital policies and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain investigation registers and daily work reports.
- Ensure timely service and patient satisfaction.
- Report equipment breakdowns to the concerned department.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training programmes.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.Sc. in Cardiac Care Technology.
- B.Sc. Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant training in ECG and Echocardiography.

Experience

- Freshers with relevant clinical training may apply.
- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or cardiac diagnostic centre is preferred.

Required Skills

- Practical knowledge of 2D Echo and Colour Doppler.
- Knowledge of 12-lead ECG recording.
- Basic understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge of ECG lead placement.
- Valuable patient-handling and communication skills.
- Ability to manage emergency investigation requests.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
