Job Overview

Nous Creons Architecture is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented 2D Draftsman cum Estimator to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing 2D architectural and interior design drawings, extracting quantities from drawings, and preparing accurate estimates and BOQs for interior and construction projects.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of AutoCAD, architectural and interior drawings, quantity take-off, and estimation.

Key Responsibilities

1. 2D Drafting & Design

- Prepare 2D architectural drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings.
- Develop interior layout drawings, furniture layouts, and working drawings.
- Prepare drawings based on client requirements and design concepts.
- Modify and revise drawings based on feedback from architects, designers, and project teams.
- Ensure accuracy and proper detailing in all drawings.

2. Estimation & Quantity Take-off

- Extract quantities from architectural and interior drawings.
- Calculate material quantities for flooring, ceiling, partitions, painting, carpentry, electrical and other interior works.
- Calculate construction-related quantities such as concrete, masonry, plastering, and other materials wherever required.
- Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and detailed estimation reports.




- Calculate material requirements and approximate project costs.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for projects.
- Verify quantities and measurements to minimize estimation errors.

3. Project Coordination

- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and site teams.
- Understand project drawings and requirements before preparing estimates.
- Support project execution by providing accurate drawings and quantity details.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, BOQs, and estimation documents.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a relevant field.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and 2D drafting.
- Ability to prepare architectural and interior design drawings.
- Positive understanding of construction and interior design materials.
- Practical knowledge of quantity take-off and estimation.
- Ability to prepare BOQ and cost estimates from drawings.
- Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience Candidates with practical knowledge of both 2D drafting and estimation are preferred. Freshers with strong technical knowledge and the ability to handle both responsibilities may also apply.

Important: Knowledge of both 2D drafting and estimation is mandatory for this position.
