Role: Account Executive

Location: Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad (Hybrid - with 3 days in office)

Fission Labs is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Executive to oversee general accounting operations, client billing, vendor payouts, and financial compliance. The ideal candidate must possess an in-depth understanding of Indian statutory regulations including the New Wage Code, Income Tax (TDS), PF, ESI, and NPS rules to verify salary sheets, review deductions, and ensure flawless statutory governance before disbursements.

Key Responsibilities

1. General Accounting & Accounts Operations

- Record day-to-day financial transactions, journal entries, and general ledger postings.
- Manage vendor bills, verify supporting purchase orders and tax invoices, and process timely

vendor disbursements.
- Maintain and reconcile bank accounts (monthly BRS) and manage corporate banking

communications.
- Support period-end financial closings, audit schedules, and balance confirmations.

2. Billing & Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Coordinate with Project Managers to collect approved timesheets and milestone deliverables.
- Generate and dispatch client invoices against active Statements of Work (SOWs) and client

contracts.
- Track AR aging reports, follow up on outstanding corporate receivables, and resolve invoice

queries. 3. Indirect Taxation & General Compliance

- Assist with monthly GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B filings, and GSTR-2B Input

Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliations.
- Ensure strict documentation maintenance for external statutory audits, tax audits, and labor

department compliance reviews.
- Quarterly TDS Returns

4. Payroll and Statutory Review/Verification





- Salary Register Review: Check monthly salary sheets for correct gross pay, attendance, LOP,

incentives, and net payouts before disbursement.
- Statutory Compliance Checks: Verify that PF, ESI, and corporate NPS deductions follow

current wage ceilings and contribution rules.
- TDS Verification (Sec 192): Check employee income tax deductions against submitted

investment proofs under both Old and New Tax Regimes.
- Books Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll liability accounts in the general ledger with filed

returns and challans (PF, ESI, PT, and 24Q TDS). Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com /

M.Com / MBA Finance). Semi-qualified CA/CMA Inter is an added advantage.
- Experience: [4+ years] of hands-on experience in corporate accounting, client billing, and Payroll

Knowledge.
- Statutory Knowledge (Mandatory):
- Working knowledge of Income Tax Act (Section 192 TDS slabs, rebate provisions,

regime comparative checks).
- Familiarity with EPF & MP Act, ESIC Act, and corporate NPS (PFRDA) contribution

rules.
- Software & Technical Proficiency:
- Hands-on experience with accounting ERPs (e.g., Zoho Books, Tally Prime,

QuickBooks).
- Working familiarity with payroll/HRMS platforms (e.g., Keka, Zoho Payroll, GreytHR)

for report extraction and review.
- Advanced MS Excel capabilities (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional

formulas, reconciliation templates).
- Core Competencies: Robust analytical and auditing mindset, high numeric precision, and the
