Role Description The Assistant Maintenance Manager is a full-time, in office role based at Mango Grove Hotel in Chandigarh. This role supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems are functioning safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include coordinating maintenance and repair activities, monitoring preventive maintenance schedules, supervising maintenance staff, and responding promptly to service requests from various departments. The Assistant Maintenance Manager helps maintain compliance with safety standards,



keeps accurate records of maintenance work, and collaborates with vendors and service providers when needed. This position contributes directly to guest satisfaction by maintaining a well-kept, reliable, and comfortable environment throughout the hotel.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team coordination, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
- Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize hotel systems and machinery.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance Management to plan schedules, minimize downtime, and maintain safety and quality standards.
- Relevant experience in hotel or facility maintenance operations, preferably in hospitality or commercial buildings.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and basic building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, safety guidelines, and technical documentation.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- A diploma or degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, based on operational needs.
