About the Role

Euro International School is seeking a responsible and technically sound Computer Lab Assistant to manage and maintain computer laboratories as per CBSE requirements. The role includes assisting students and teachers during practical sessions, handling basic hardware and software issues, and supporting school assemblies and events by overseeing technical and logístical arrangements.

Key Responsibilities 1. Computer Lab Management

- Maintain smooth day-to-day functioning of computer laboratories.
- Ensure all computers, peripherals, and networking equipment are in working condition.
- Assist teachers during computer practical classes and support students in lab activities.
- Ensure proper seating, discipline, and safe use of systems by students.
- Maintain lab schedules, usage records, and inventory of equipment.

2. Hardware & Software Support

- Troubleshoot basic hardware issues related to CPUs, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, and projectors.
- Ensure proper functioning of internet connectivity and network systems in the lab.
- Coordinate with external vendors or IT support for major technical issues.

3. Student Handling & Support

- Guide students on correct usage of computers and lab rules.
- Ensure adherence to CBSE norms related to computer education and lab safety.
- Support teachers in conducting assessments, practical exams, and projects.

4. Assembly & Event Support





- Oversee technical arrangements for morning assemblies, including sound systems, microphones, projectors, and displays.
- Assist in setting up audio-visual systems for school events, functions, meetings, and celebrations.
- Ensure smooth coordination during events and promptly resolve technical issues.

5. Safety, Discipline & Compliance

- Ensure safety and security of lab equipment and digital resources.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the computer lab.
- Follow school policies, safety guidelines, and CBSE norms.

6. Coordination & Reporting

- Coordinate with IT staff, teachers, and school administration for lab requirements.
- Report technical faults, maintenance needs, and inventory requirements to the concerned authority.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the school management from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria

- Diploma / Certificate / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Sound knowledge of computer hardware, software, and basic networking.
- Prior experience in handling computer labs in a school workplace is preferred.
- Ability to manage students and work in coordination with teachers.
