Role:We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer - SDE-3 with solid expertise in Java and Apache Kafka to design, develop, and scale high-performance distributed systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in backend development, microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and distributed computing. The candidate should be comfortable owning complex technical problems, driving engineering best practices, and mentoring junior developers.Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.- Build and manage distributed systems and microservices-based architectures.- Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.- Design Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and consumer groups.- Build highly available, fault-tolerant, and low-latency backend services.- Work on system design, architecture decisions, and performance optimization.- Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.- Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.- Ensure code quality through code reviews,



unit testing, and engineering best practices.- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams.- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making.Requirements:- 5 - 8 years of experience in backend software development.- Strong hands-on experience in Java (Java 8/11/17 or above).- Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.- Excellent understanding of microservices architecture.- Strong knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, collections, and JVM fundamentals.- Experience designing and developing REST APIs.- Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and fault tolerance.- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.- Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of DSA, OOPS, and design patterns.- Experience with system design, HLD, and LLD.
