Position Title : Software Development Tech Lead (Grade 6)

Department : Software Engineering/Development

Reports To : Engineering Manager/Head of Development

The Software Development Tech Lead is responsible for overseeing a development team, guiding them through the design, development, testing, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. The role involves hands-on coding, mentoring team members, ensuring technical excellence, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. Lead a team of software developers in designing, developing, and deploying software applications.

Provide technical leadership, including hands-on coding, code reviews, and architecture design.

Ensure adherence to software development best practices and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).

Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and technical solutions.

Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Manage technical risks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the team meets project deadlines.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in [programming languages, e.g., NODE, REACT, PGSQL, Python etc] and software development frameworks.
- Robust knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.), Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and development tools (Jira, Git, etc.).
