Roles & Responsibilities

- Drive mechanical design and product development from concept ideation to final product realization.
- Develop mechanical system architecture, layouts and 3D models considering functionality, scalability, modularity and manufacturability.
- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and mechanical systems based on product requirements.
- Perform design benchmarking and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards such as ISO, CE and UL.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, layouts and technical documentation.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to optimize product design.
- Identify and evaluate mechanical components, materials and suppliers based on cost, quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Electrical, Controls, Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation and implementation of design improvements.
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement and cost optimization in mechanical designs.





Preferred Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 4-5+ years of experience in Mechanical Design and Product Development.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in Special Purpose Machine (SPM) design and development will be preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA or similar.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
- Experience in 3D modelling, engineering drawings, BOM preparation and product development.
- Knowledge of DFM, DFA and design optimization practices.
- Exposure to prototype development, testing and cross-functional engineering coordination.
- Valuable problem-solving, analytical and conceptualization skills.
