JOB DESCRIPTION – WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Reporting To: Warehouse Manager / Plant Head
Location: As per company requirements

1. Job Purpose

To supervise and manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other supplies while maintaining proper documentation and warehouse discipline.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Warehouse Operations

- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including material receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials, packaging materials and finished products.
- Maintain systematic warehouse layouts and proper material identification.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed.
- Monitor loading and unloading activities.

B. Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory registers.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and cycle counts.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the purchase and production departments.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, shortages and excess inventory.
- Ensure proper batch-wise and expiry-wise inventory tracking.

C. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain GRN, material issue slips, delivery challans and stock transfer records.
- Ensure accurate ERP/software entries for all inward and outward materials.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock reports.
- Maintain records for internal and external audits.

D. Team Management

- Supervise warehouse staff, helpers, loaders and forklift operators.




- Allocate daily responsibilities and monitor employee performance.
- Ensure discipline, productivity and proper shift handovers.
- Train warehouse staff on material handling and safety procedures.

E. Quality, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices.
- Maintain hygiene and pest-control standards.
- Ensure safe stacking and storage of materials.
- Prevent material damage, contamination and pilferage.
- Follow company policies, food safety standards and warehouse safety procedures.

3. Required Qualifications

- Graduate in any discipline; preferably a Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Warehouse Management.
- 5–10 years of experience in warehouse operations.
- Experience in the food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing industry preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management and ERP systems.

4. Required Skills

- Strong inventory and warehouse management skills.
- Good knowledge of FIFO/FEFO systems.
- Knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Excel.
- Leadership and team-handling capabilities.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
