About us

We're an early stage startup in stealth mode in Mumbai, building a security first service that protects people's most valuable possessions. At its core is a secure, connected device that we design in house.

The role

Our core promise: only the customer can open what they've trusted us with. Not our staff, and not even us. We're hiring the engineer who will own the software that keeps that promise.

What you'll do

• Design and build the backend: accounts, device registration, secure commands to the device and a tamper-evident audit log

• Own the security model end to end, including key management, so that no master key exists

• Build the first version of the customer app

• Work with our hardware engineer on how the device talks to our servers, including firmware updates

• Set up the cloud infrastructure and monitoring we'll launch on

• Move rapid with AI coding tools, and catch what they get wrong in security-critical code

What you'll bring

• 3+ years building and running production backends in Node.js, Python or Go





• Strong on authentication and authorisation: signed tokens, public key cryptography, key storage and rotation

• Experience with APIs for IoT or hardware devices (MQTT, WebSockets or similar)

• PostgreSQL or a similar database, and AWS, GCP or Azure

Valuable to have

• React Native or Flutter

• HSMs, a cloud KMS or secure elements

• Fintech, payments or security products

How we work

• Contract for the prototype phase, with a path to a full-time role. Full time preferred; we'll consider an exceptional part-timer

• Competitive pay, all in cash (no ESOPs)

• Mumbai-based, working on-site with the hardware team

• You work directly with the founder, and what you build is what ships
