Educational Qualification
DM / DrNB in Medical Oncology from an NMC-recognised institution.
MD / DNB in General Medicine followed by DM / DrNB in Medical Oncology.
Valid NMC / State Medical Council registration.
Additional fellowship or specialised training in Medical Oncology will be an added advantage.
Experience
2–7 years of relevant experience in Medical Oncology.
Experience in managing solid tumours and haematological malignancies.
Experience in chemotherapy administration, immunotherapy and targeted therapy.
Roles & Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose and manage patients with various types of cancers.
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on established oncology protocols.
Manage patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy.
Monitor treatment responses, adverse effects and complications.
Coordinate with surgical oncology, radiation oncology,



pathology and radiology teams for comprehensive cancer care.
Participate in multidisciplinary tumour board discussions.
Provide counselling to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options and prognosis.
Ensure accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans.
Participate in departmental academic activities, clinical audits and research initiatives.
Follow hospital protocols, patient safety standards and clinical quality guidelines.
Key Skills
Solid clinical knowledge in Medical Oncology.
Expertise in cancer diagnosis and treatment planning.
Good communication and patient counselling skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
