Key Responsibilities
Editorial planning & news judgment: Identify newsworthy developments, assess relevance, and make quick editorial decisions to shape news coverage, bulletins, and feature shows.
News writing & TV production: Collate, write, and develop news stories; manage rolling shows and oversee production elements, including graphics, supers, and other on-air inputs.
Research & content creation: Convert research and data into compelling scripts, visual narratives, and audio-visual content for television, digital, and website platforms.
Show production & execution: Conceptualise, build, and curate news bulletins and feature shows, ensuring editorial inputs and production elements are accurate, complete, and ready within deadlines.
Cross-platform content: Create and curate content for social media, including reels, video-on-demand (VOD), and other digital formats.
Coordination & sourcing: Source stories from internal network teams, news agencies, and other stakeholders;

coordinate across departments and channels for seamless execution.
Anchoring & live coverage: Anchor news bulletins, special shows, news segments, and events; undertake studio-based and on-ground reporting, including live coverage.
Leadership & mentoring: Guide producers and assistant producers,



mentor junior colleagues, and oversee newsroom operations as a senior editorial resource or shift head.

Desired Candidate Profile
8–12 years of experience in television journalism, news production, editorial planning, or business news.
Solid understanding of business, economic, and political developments, with high awareness of current affairs and business news.
Proven ability to identify news angles, exercise sound editorial judgment, and respond quickly in a fast-paced newsroom.
Strong writing, scripting, reporting, research, and storytelling skills.
Experience in live television production, bulletin planning, show execution, and coordination with newsroom teams.
Ability to translate research, data, and complex information into transparent visual and audio-visual narratives.
Experience creating and managing content for social media and digital platforms.
Robust leadership skills, with the ability to mentor team members and manage editorial workflows.
Excellent command of English and a robust commitment to accuracy, fact-checking, and editorial quality.
Proficiency in video editing software;

experience with iNEWS is an advantage.
