Monitor Oracle databases, RAC clusters, ASM, Data Guard, and related services to ensure database availability, performance, and stability.
Respond to alerts, incidents, and customer-impacting issues; perform initial troubleshooting using documented SOPs and runbooks, and escalate critical or complex issues to senior DBA resources as required.
Participate in production incident calls (P1/P2), provide timely status updates, and maintain accurate incident records through ticketing systems.
Perform routine database operational tasks including health checks, startup/shutdown activities, monitoring tablespace utilization, storage growth, replication health, listener status, cluster services, and Data Guard synchronization.




Track database performance metrics, identify blocking sessions and long-running queries, collect diagnostic information, and assist with performance issue triage and resolution.
Support routine maintenance activities, including execution of approved maintenance procedures, patch validation, post-maintenance application and database verification, and adherence to operational standards.
Provide weekend, on-call, and after-hours support as required to maintain production database availability and meet service level commitments.
Should be able to understand basics of Postgres performance troubleshooting and SQL script review and execution in controlled manner.
