Job Title: Consultant Logistics

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Consultant – Logistics to support logistics-related initiatives and business development activities for the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI). The role involves developing strategies, identifying current prospects in the inland waterways logistics sector, conducting research and data analysis, managing stakeholder relationships, and supporting project execution.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of logistics management, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve IWAI's goals and objectives.
Identify and pursue current opportunities in the logistics sector, particularly in inland waterways.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
Conduct market research and data analysis to identify industry trends, business opportunities, and the competitive landscape.
Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and reports for potential clients and partners.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.




Monitor project development activities and report on performance metrics.
Support logistics optimisation and related strategic initiatives.

Mandatory Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics or a related field.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Prior experience working with Government organisations or Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in the relevant field.
Additional qualifications and certifications in the relevant domain.
Research experience and published papers.
Relevant post-qualification experience.

Required Skills
Proficiency in logistics management and software/tools related to logistics optimisation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
Solid analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
