ELIGIBILITY &
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Production Engineering OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with strong hands-on experience in heavy machinery design.
Domain Experience: Mandatory hands-on experience in Heavy Machinery, Steel Plant Equipment, Industrial Machinery, or Heavy Fabrication &
Mechanical Assemblies.
Software Proficiency: Mandatory robust working knowledge of SolidWorks (for 3D Modeling &
Assemblies) and AutoCAD (for 2D Drafting &
Layouts).
Experience Level: 2+ to 8+ Years of proven core mechanical design experience in heavy industrial machinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing detailed 3D models and accurate 2D manufacturing/assembly drawings for heavy machinery components using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Performing mechanical calculations (gearbox selection, motor sizing, hydraulic/pneumatic power pack requirements, drive shaft design, and structural load calculations).
Preparing accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), engineering documentation, user manuals,



and technical specifications for production & procurement teams.
Collaborating closely with production, fabrication, and assembly shop-floor teams to resolve design-related issues (DFM/DFA) and ensure seamless manufacturing.
Reviewing design layouts, customer specifications, and ensuring compliance with industry engineering standards and safety norms.

KEY TECHNICAL &
QUALIFIED SKILLS
Proficiency in 3D Modeling &
Detailing using SolidWorks & 2D Drafting using AutoCAD.
In-depth technical knowledge of Heavy Machinery, Industrial Equipment, Hydraulics &
Mechanical Assemblies.
Strong understanding of Manufacturing Processes, Machining Tolerances, Fits, GD&T;, and Material Selection.
Creation of accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Technical Documentation.
Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with Production, Quality, and Client teams.
