We are looking for an experienced Senior Micro Focus COBOL Developer with robust hands-on expertise in Micro Focus COBOL 6.4. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, maintaining, and modernizing legacy COBOL applications while ensuring application performance, reliability, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain COBOL applications using Micro Focus COBOL 6.4.
Work on legacy application modernization and performance optimization.
Debug and resolve application defects and production issues.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and development teams.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT.
Conduct code reviews and maintain technical documentation.
Provide production support and troubleshoot critical application issues.

Required Skills




5+ years of experience in COBOL application development.
Solid hands-on experience in Micro Focus COBOL 6.4.
Experience with Visual COBOL, Enterprise Developer, and Enterprise Server.
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (DB2 / Oracle / SQL Server).
Experience in application debugging, maintenance, and modernization.
Knowledge of Git / SVN / TFS.
Understanding of SDLC, testing, and production support.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Candidate: Developers with strong hands-on Micro Focus COBOL 6.4 experience and legacy application maintenance / modernization exposure.
