Blueprint &
GD&T; Interpretation:

Analyze technical drawings, CAD models, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) symbols to figure out the right machining strategy.
Toolpath &
Strategy Development:

Define cutting paths, step-overs, drilling cycles, milling strategies, and multi-axis movements (X, Y, Z axes) for complex geometries.
Cutting Parameters Optimization: Calculate and fine-tune spindle speeds (RPM), feed rates, depth of cut, and coolant flow to balance high production efficiency with tool life.
Tool &
Fixture Selection:

Choose appropriate cutting tools, inserts, tool holders, jigs, and workholding fixtures.
Machine Set-Up &
Prove-Out:

Oversee or assist with the first-time physical set-up,



load raw materials/workpieces, set work/tool offsets, and run dry/test cycles to verify accuracy before mass production.
Troubleshooting &
Error Correction:

Diagnose and fix issues during machining—such as tool breakage, dimensional drift, chatter, or code bugs.
Quality Assurance Support: Collaborate with quality control teams to inspect first-off parts against engineering specifications and adjust programs to hit tight tolerances.
Process Improvement &
Cost Reduction:

Review manufacturability for current jobs, reduce cycle times, and support standard operating procedures (SOPs) or time studies
