Summary

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Service Engineer or Technician to join our IT Services team, focusing on the maintenance and support of critical power generation equipment. This entry-level role is designed for individuals eager to develop practical expertise in diesel engine operations and electrical systems. The position offers a foundational chance to gain hands-on experience in servicing and troubleshooting generator sets, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our clients.

Responsibilities
Assist in the routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel engine components and associated systems.
Perform basic electrical diagnostics, including the testing of wiring, circuits, batteries, and alternators.
Utilize various hand and measuring tools to conduct exact assessments and repairs on machinery.
Support senior engineers in diagnosing operational issues and implementing corrective actions for generator sets.




Participate in scheduled servicing activities to ensure equipment meets safety and performance standards.
Document maintenance activities and report findings accurately to the technical team.

Requirements

Requirements:
Possess a fundamental understanding of diesel engine mechanics and their operational principles.
Demonstrate basic proficiency in electrical wiring, circuit analysis, and the use of measuring instruments.
Show familiarity with battery systems, alternators, and their integration within power generation units.
Exhibit a robust interest in learning the specifics of Genset servicing and long-term maintenance.
Maintain a solid grasp of general electrical and mechanical concepts suitable for a technical entry-level role.
Be equipped with the necessary tools and a willingness to apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios.
