Manage procurement of medicines, medical and surgical consumables, equipment, implants, and general hospital materials.
Ensure timely availability of materials as per hospital requirements.
Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate prices with vendors.
Develop, evaluate, and maintain approved vendor lists.
Prepare purchase orders as per approved indents, budgets, and hospital policies.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Stores and Pharmacy to prevent stock-outs and overstocking.
Ensure cost control through competitive pricing, rate contracts, and effective negotiations.
Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical departments for procurement requirements.
Monitor vendor performance, delivery schedules, product quality,



and service standards.
Ensure proper documentation of purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and contracts.
Coordinate with Finance and Accounts for invoice verification and vendor payments.
Monitor expiry, slow-moving, and non-moving inventory to minimize losses.
Ensure compliance with hospital procurement policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Prepare periodic reports on purchase expenses, cost savings, pending orders, and vendor performance.
Supervise the purchase team and ensure productive supply chain operations.
