Role & responsibilities

Transporter Management & Logistics Planning:
Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard suitable transport partners such as Safex, Gati, Maruti, VRL, Delhivery, Blue Dart, and other logistics service providers.
Select the most economical and effective dispatch mode (Air, Surface, Cargo, Express, Full Truck Load, Part Load) based on shipment priority, cost, weight, volume, and delivery timelines.

Freight Cost Optimization:
Drive logistics cost reduction initiatives without compromising service levels.
Negotiate freight rates and annual contracts with transporters and logistics vendors.

Shipment Coordination & Dispatch Management
Plan and execute daily dispatches as per customer requirements and committed TAT.
Coordinate with warehouses, suppliers, transporters, and customers for seamless shipment movement.

Material Tracking & Delivery Monitoring:
Track shipments from dispatch to delivery and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.




Ensure adherence to committed Turnaround Time (TAT) and delivery schedules.

Packaging Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
Lead Kaizen initiatives to improve packing materials and methodologies.
Guide packing teams in selecting suitable packaging materials based on product shape, size, fragility, and transportation mode.

Transit Damage & Insurance Claim Management:
Investigate transit damage cases and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with transporters, insurance agencies, and internal teams for claim processing.
Ensure timely submission and closure of insurance claims.

Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure compliance with all transportation and logistics regulations.

Preferred candidate profile

Heavy engineering, construction equipment, automotive manufacturing preferred.
