Job Description – Purchase Engineer

Location: Ahmedabad

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Experience: 3–6 years

Key Responsibilities
Procure mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and automation materials for environmental engineering and EPC projects.
Negotiate strongly with vendors to achieve maximum cost savings and favourable payment terms.
Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
Develop current vendors and identify cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.
Ensure timely material delivery as per project schedules.
Coordinate with project execution, design, stores and accounts teams.
Monitor procurement budgets and maintain accurate purchase records.
Ensure compliance with approved specifications, purchase procedures and quality standards.

Required Skills




Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Technical knowledge of electrical or mechanical equipment.
Experience in EPC, industrial or water/wastewater projects preferred.
Proficiency in MS Excel and purchase documentation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Cost savings through effective negotiation.
Timely material delivery.
Quality and specification compliance.
Vendor development and adherence to payment terms.

Preferred Candidate: A technically sound engineer with solid commercial skills, a cost-saving mindset and the ability to improve procurement efficiency and project profitability.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
