Tax Accountant / Senior Tax Accountant - Form 1065 Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Accountant or Senior Tax Accountant with specialized expertise in partnership taxation (Form 1065). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and review of complex federal and state partnership income tax returns and related schedules. This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations pertaining to partnerships, excellent analytical abilities, and solid communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for various partnership entities (Form 1065), including Schedule K-1s.
Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current tax laws, regulations, and pronouncements affecting partnerships.
Assist in tax planning and advisory services for partnership clients, identifying prospects for tax efficiencies and risk mitigation.
Respond to inquiries from tax authorities,



including preparing responses to notices and audit requests.
Collaborate closely with clients to gather necessary financial information, clarify data, and provide tax-related insights.
Utilize various tax preparation software (e.g., GoSystem, CCH Axcess, UltraTax) and accounting systems efficiently.
Reconcile tax accounts and financial statements to ensure accuracy and consistency in tax reporting.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax legislation, particularly those impacting partnerships, and advise clients and internal teams accordingly.
Assist in the development and mentoring of junior tax staff, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
Ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and submitted by their respective deadlines.
Perform complex calculations related to partnership allocations, basis adjustments, and distributions.
