Internal Auditor Executive – Internal Audit

Key Responsibilities
Financial & Billing Audits
Audit inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and emergency room (ER) billing to verify tariff accuracy and prevent revenue leakage.
Reconcile hospital billing revenue, pharmacy sales, and TPA (Third-Party Administrator) insurance claims.
Review vendor payments, petty cash, and general ledger accounts against hospital policy.
Operational & Inventory Audits
Monitor stock procurement, medical supplies, and pharmacy inventory handling to check for pilferage, expiration, or wastage.
Evaluate departmental workflows across clinical and non-clinical areas.
Compliance & Quality Standards
Support external, statutory, and tax audits.
Ensure operational readiness for accreditation standards like NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) or JCI.
Maintain and update action-taken report (ATR) trackers to close audit observations.
Reporting & Risk Management
Prepare risk-based internal audit reports detailing findings, root causes, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Present audit observations to the hospital management or audit committee
