Job Description – Paint Shop Process Engineer
Position: Paint Shop Process Engineer
Location: Pune
Experience: 2–8 Years
Industry: Manufacturing / Automotive / Engineering
Qualification: Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Production or Paint Technology

Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day paint shop operations and ensure smooth production processes.
Handle paint shop processes such as pre-treatment, powder coating and liquid painting.
Monitor and maintain process parameters, including temperature, pressure, viscosity and coating thickness.
Ensure proper surface preparation, cleaning and chemical treatment before painting.
Monitor paint quality, finish, adhesion and coating thickness.
Identify and troubleshoot painting defects such as bubbles, scratches,



orange peel, peeling and uneven coating.
Implement process improvements to reduce paint rejection, material wastage and production downtime.
Coordinate with production, quality and maintenance teams for smooth operations.
Ensure adherence to 5S, safety standards and quality procedures.
Maintain process documentation, production reports and rejection records.
