Responsibilities

· Tool Manufacturing & Assembly: Fabricate, assemble, and test recent progressive, compound, blanking, and bending press tools.

· Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance, regrinding, and emergency repairs on damaged or worn-out dies and tools.

· Modifications & Root Cause Analysis: Analyze tool wear, sheet metal defects, or failures to find root causes and make necessary engineering drawing corrections and modifications.

· Machine Operation: Operate conventional or CNC toolroom machinery such as lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and EDMs.

· Quality & 5S Compliance: Inspect finished tools and components using precision measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and maintain 5S standards in the tool room.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Experience:



Typically 2 to 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Tool and Die Maker or Press Tool Maker in manufacturing or automotive industries.

· Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of sheet metal operations (blanking, piercing, bending, drawing), raw materials used in tooling, and heat treatment.

· Blueprints & Software: Ability to read engineering drawings, CAD/CAM files, and blueprints (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA familiarity is a robust plus).

· Education/Certifications: ITI, Diploma, or National Trade Certificate in Tool & Die Making or a related mechanical engineering discipline.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
