Key Responsibilities
Prepare the operating room with required surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Verify patient identity, surgical procedure, and consent forms before surgery.
Assist surgeons and anesthetists during operations.
Maintain a sterile workplace and adhere to infection control protocols.
Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during surgical procedures.
Handle and account for surgical instruments, sponges, and equipment.
Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care and education.
Respond promptly to emergencies and complications during surgery.
Document patient care, procedures, and outcomes accurately.
Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste and compliance with hospital policies.

Required Skills

Educational Requirements
Diploma, B.Sc. Nursing, or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).
Valid nursing registration/licensure as required by local regulations.
Certification or training in perioperative/operating room nursing is an advantage.
