Position Title: Stores Incharge
Department: Materials / Supply Chain Management
Location: Kheda, Gujarat
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)
Experience: 6 to 8 years of core stores operations experience within an Engineering Manufacturing company
Job Purpose
To manage, control, and optimize daily warehouse and stores operations. This role ensures seamless inventory management, material availability, and strict adherence to manufacturing timelines.
Key Responsibilities
· Inventory Management: Oversee receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, engineering goods, tools, and spare parts.
· Stock Accuracy: Conduct regular physical verification and cyclic stock counts to eliminate inventory discrepancies.
· Systems & Documentation: Maintain flawless records in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Infor) and handle all goods receipt notes (GRN).
· Material Handling:
Implement layout optimization and material handling practices to ensure safety and quick retrieval.
· Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with procurement and quality teams to manage incoming rejections and vendor returns.
· Scrap Management: Standardize identification, segregation, and disposal of scrap materials according to company policy.
· Team Leadership: Guide and train a team of store keepers and helpers to maintain high operational discipline.
Required Skills & Competencies
· Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of engineering components, hardware, and manufacturing spare parts.
· Process Orientation: Expertise in FIFO, LIFO, 5S, and safety standards within a manufacturing setup.
· Software Skills: Solid proficiency in ERP material management modules and Microsoft Excel.
