JOB DESCRIPTION

Designation: Science Lab Teacher / Laboratory In-Charge

Roles & Responsibilities
To organise and conduct science practical activities as per the prescribed curriculum.
To prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, apparatus, chemicals and other materials.
To assist subject teachers and students during practical sessions.
To ensure proper functioning, cleanliness and maintenance of the science laboratory.
To strictly follow laboratory safety rules and ensure students' safety during experiments.
To maintain laboratory stock registers, issue registers and other relevant records.
To ensure proper storage, handling and disposal of chemicals and laboratory materials.
To demonstrate scientific experiments and practical concepts effectively.




To check and maintain laboratory equipment regularly and report any damage or shortage.
To ensure discipline and proper behaviour of students inside the laboratory.
To arrange practical materials and resources before scheduled laboratory sessions.
To perform any other duties assigned by the Principal or School Management.

Reporting Authority: Principal / Science HOD / Academic Coordinator.

Primary Objective: To provide a protected, well-organised and effective laboratory workplace that promotes practical learning, scientific curiosity and hands-on experience among students.
