About the Position

Sainik School Amritsar invites applications from qualified, dedicated, and passionate candidates for the position of English Teacher. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching English, developing students' language skills, and maintaining high academic standards in a disciplined educational workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Teach English language and literature to students as per the prescribed curriculum.
Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
Prepare lesson plans, classroom activities, assignments, and assessments.
Improve students' grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication skills.
Conduct regular tests and evaluate students' academic progress.
Encourage students to participate in debates, speeches, essay writing, and other literary activities.
Maintain classroom discipline and promote a positive learning environment.
Provide additional academic support to students who need improvement.
Participate in school activities, meetings, and other academic responsibilities.

Educational Qualifications




Bachelor's Degree in English from a recognized university.
B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
Master's Degree in English will be preferred.
Relevant teaching qualification as per applicable recruitment rules.

Required Skills
Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Solid communication and classroom management skills.
Good teaching methodology and subject knowledge.
Ability to motivate and engage students.
Proficiency in lesson planning and student assessment.
Dedication, discipline, and a student-focused approach.

Experience
Previous teaching experience in a recognized school will be preferred.
Fresh candidates with excellent communication and teaching skills may also apply, subject to eligibility criteria.
