Commercial Operations Director – Pharma & Market Access

A senior commercial leadership prospect is available within the pharmaceutical industry, overseeing commercial operations, market access and product commercialization across India.

The role will lead public account strategy, pricing, reimbursement, sales effectiveness and new product planning, working closely with cross-functional and regional leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
Lead public account operations across all therapeutic areas, including reimbursement, formulary inclusion, tenders and national account sales.
Develop and execute market access strategies across public and private channels.
Oversee patient assistance programmes, vendor relationships and regulatory compliance.
Establish product pricing strategies, manage approvals and coordinate government pricing matters.
Lead sales force effectiveness initiatives, including KPIs, incentive programmes, training and performance improvement.
Develop commercialisation business cases and go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
Oversee distributor operations,



demand forecasting and supply planning.
Identify opportunities to expand commercial operations through partnerships and neighbouring markets.

Requirements
Extensive pharmaceutical commercial experience in India, ideally 15+ years within multinational pharmaceutical companies.
Previous experience leading the commercialisation of oncology products in India, across sales and/or marketing.
Experience in several of the following areas: public accounts, market access, sales force effectiveness, current product planning and business operations.
Proven experience directly leading teams.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence stakeholders in a matrixed organisation.
Strategic thinking, sound business judgement and strong communication skills.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Flexibility to travel approximately 1–2 weeks per month.
