Job Location: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities
Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, bought-out items, mechanical components, electrical items, consumables, and subcontracted services in line with project schedules, approved budgets, and quality requirements.
Identify, evaluate, approve, and develop reliable suppliers. Establish alternate sources for critical materials to minimize supply risks and dependence on single vendors.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, credit periods, delivery schedules, freight, and other commercial conditions to optimize procurement costs and achieve cost savings.
Maintain accurate procurement documentation, including purchase requisitions, vendor quotations, comparative statements, approval records, purchase orders, and supplier-related documents, in accordance with company policies.
Prepare and review monthly procurement reports covering purchase value, cost savings, pending purchase orders, supplier performance, delivery status, and material availability.

Required Skills and Experience
Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in purchase and procurement, preferably in manufacturing, steel fabrication, engineering,



or project-based industries.

Required Technical Skills
Robust knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, and vendor development.
Ability to understand engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), material specifications, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in ERP systems, Tally, and MS Excel.
Robust commercial acumen, including cost analysis, price comparison, and payment-term evaluation.
Excellent negotiation skills and knowledge of procurement cost optimization.
