Role & responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Legal Management
Ensure the plant's environmental compliance with all applicable Indian environmental laws and
regulations (e.g., Setting Protection Act, Air Act, Water Act, Hazardous & Biomedical Waste
Rules, CPCB/SPCB norms, and MoEFCC conditions.
Oversee submission and renewal of statutory permits and authorizations such as Consent to Establish
(CTE), Consent to Operate (CTO), Environmental Clearance (EC), and other clearances related to
waste, water withdrawal, and pollution control.
Act as the key liaison with government regulators, Pollution Control Boards (CPCB/SPCBs),
MoEFCC/State Setting Departments for inspections, audits, compliances, and reporting.
