Job Description – Special Educator

Position: Special Educator

Our integrated approach brings together Special Education, ABA, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Psychological Services.

Key Responsibilities

- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Assess children's educational needs, develop personalized learning goals and regularly monitor progress.
- Special Education Intervention: Deliver structured, engaging sessions for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities and other developmental conditions.
- Academic & Cognitive Development: Strengthen foundational literacy, numeracy, attention, memory, comprehension and problem-solving skills.
- Behaviour & Classroom Readiness: Implement positive behaviour support strategies and develop attention, communication, classroom participation and school-readiness skills.
- Life Skills & Independence: Promote functional academics, daily living skills, social interaction and independent learning.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with psychologists, ABA therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists to achieve integrated developmental goals.
- Parent Engagement: Provide regular progress updates,



practical home-based strategies and participate in parent review meetings.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate session records, progress reports, assessments and individualized intervention plans.

Qualifications & Eligibility

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (B.Ed./M.Ed. Special Education) from a recognized institution.
- Valid Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) registration, as applicable to the role.
- Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities or specific learning disabilities is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications and strong practical skills may also apply.

- Strong understanding of special education methodologies and individualized teaching.
- Ability to create innovative, engaging and developmentally appropriate learning activities.
- Knowledge of behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Excellent communication, observation and documentation skills.
- Patience, empathy, professionalism and a child-centred approach.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
