Job Description: Senior QA Automation Engineer (Mobile & Web)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain our next-generation test automation frameworks across mobile (iOS & Android) and web applications. In this role, you will leverage Appium, Java, and Selenium to deliver robust, scalable end-to-end automation suites that integrate seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps engineers to ensure high-quality software releases in an agile setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Framework Development: Design, build, and scale automated testing frameworks from scratch using Java, Appium (for mobile), and Selenium WebDriver (for web).
- Test Strategy & Scripting: Author, maintain, and execute highly reliable automated test scripts for Native, Hybrid, and Mobile Web apps across Android and iOS platforms.
- Architecture Implementation: Implement robust design patterns such as Page Object Model (POM) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber.
- Environment Setup: Configure and maintain infrastructure components including the Appium Server, Android SDK/Emulators, iOS Xcode/Simulators, and real device clouds (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated regression suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab) for automated nightly and pull-request verification triggers.
- Defect Management: Identify, isolate,



document, and track bugs systematically using Jira. Collaborate with developers to accelerate root-cause analysis and verification.
- API Testing Integration: Design and execute functional API automation tests (using RestAssured or Postman) to support end-to-end user-flow validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Core Technical Competencies:
- Java Proficiency: Strong programming foundation in Java (OOPs concepts, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading).
- Mobile Automation: Extensive hands-on experience with Appium manipulating elements via Appium Inspector and utilizing custom locator strategies.
- Web Automation: Solid experience writing web UI tests with Selenium WebDriver.
- Build & Test Tools: Proficiency with build management tools (Maven/Gradle) and test runners (TestNG/JUnit).

- Platform Knowledge: Proactive experience working with Android Studio (ADB, AVD) and Apple Xcode command-line tools for setup and debugging.
- Process & Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, shift-left testing practices, and Git-based version control workflows.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams.
- Work experience of Minimum 5 years.
