The Role

At Sovos, were building the global tax compliance platform that businesses rely on every day, and our customers expect fast, accurate support. As a Senior Service Cloud Developer, youll own the technical design, build, and quality of our Salesforce Service Cloud platform, covering case management, entitlements and SLAs, knowledge, and omni-channel routing. Youll work closely with Support, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to turn business requirements into scalable, well-governed solutions, and youll set the technical standard for Service Cloud development across the Business Applications team.

More specifically, you will:

- Architect and develop Service Cloud solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and declarative tools, choosing the right approach for each problem.
- Build case lifecycle automation (assignment, escalation, entitlements, milestones, SLAs) and extend Omni-Channel, Email-to-Case, Web-to-Case,



Knowledge, and Service Console.
- Design integrations with Jira, customer success platforms, telephony, NetSuite, and Snowflake using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware.
- Lead design and code reviews, set standards for Apex, LWC, test coverage, and bulkification, and mentor developers and admins.
- Own your deployment pipeline (source control, CI/CD, sandbox strategy, releases) in compliance with change management, SOX, and ITGC requirements, including documented testing and approvals.
- Design, build, and test Agentforce agents (topics, actions, guardrails) and other Einstein capabilities, leveraging AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code) with the Salesforce CLI to scaffold Apex and LWC, generate tests, analyse metadata, and script deployments.
- Apply AI across the delivery lifecycle (code review, impact analysis, documentation, test evidence), holding AI-generated code to the same review, testing, and change management standards as any other change, and share effective AI-assisted practices with the team to improve case deflection and resolution time.

What You Bring to Sovos

- Youve built solid experience in Salesforce development (ideally 6+ years), including solid work on Service Cloud (ideally 3+ years).
- Expert-level Apex (triggers, batch, queueable, asynchronous patterns), SOQL/SOSL, and Lightning Web Components.
- Deep knowledge of the Service Cloud data model and features: Cases, Entitlements, Milestones, Omni-Channel, Knowledge, and Service Console.
- Strong experience building integrations with REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and external systems.
- Proficiency with Salesforce DX, the Salesforce CLI, Git-based source control, and CI/CD tooling.
- Working fluency with AI-assisted development: you already use AI coding assistants with the CLI and DX workflows and critically review their output for correctness, security, and maintainability,



with sound judgement on responsible AI use, including data privacy, least-privilege access, and verifying AI output before it reaches production.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.
