Job Title: Transport Manager Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month Experience: Minimum 2 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Transport & Operations Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and responsible Transport Manager to oversee daily transportation operations, fleet management, route planning and vehicle maintenance. The ideal candidate should have strong coordination, team management and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth, safe and cost-effective transport operations. Roles & Responsibilities 1. Manage and supervise day-to-day transportation operations and fleet activities. 2. Plan, optimise and monitor vehicle routes to ensure timely and efficient transportation. 3. Supervise drivers, conductors and other transport staff. 4. Monitor vehicle performance, fuel consumption and maintenance schedules. 5. Ensure all vehicles have valid permits, fitness certificates, insurance, PUC and other statutory documents. 6. Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs and preventive maintenance. 7. Monitor GPS tracking systems and ensure adherence to assigned routes and schedules. 8. Maintain transport records, logbooks, fuel registers and vehicle documentation. 9. Handle transportation-related complaints, emergencies and operational issues. 10. Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and transportation policies. 11.



Coordinate with vendors, service providers and internal departments. 12. Prepare transport reports, maintain operational budgets and control transportation expenses. 13. Ensure discipline, punctuality and safety standards among transport staff. Required Qualifications & Skills - Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in transport or fleet management. - Graduate in any discipline (preferred). - Strong leadership and team management abilities. - Good communication and coordination skills. - Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, route planning and transport documentation. - Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel. - Ability to handle emergencies and resolve operational challenges. - Knowledge of GPS tracking and fleet management systems will be an advantage. Preferred Candidate Profile A proactive, organised and responsible professional with hands-on experience in managing transportation operations, supervising drivers and ensuring efficient fleet utilisation.
