RAIN is seeking an Assistant General Manager - Continuous Improvement who'd direct and coordinate activities concerned with continuous improvement of all SEZ plant related activities, driving the organization toward efficient operations, by performing the following duties personally or through other employees

The ideal candidate will confer with management to establish continuous improvement goals/objectives and overall Direction

Role and Responsibilities

Organize

- Confers with management to establish continuous improvement goals/objectives and overall
- Direction
- Identify areas with other functional leaders, employees and customers to develop significant lean
- opportunities for improvement throughout the organization




- Network with internal/external resources to bring best practices to lean projects, Kaizen activities and the organization
- Work extensively with institutes like Kaizen International to establish best practices and sustain it
- Provide education and mentoring to employees on Lean principles and techniques
- Facilitates and leads the continuous improvement process by identifying training needs and
- providing training in problem solving methodology, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping,
- etc.
- Ensure open communication throughout the manufacturing unit by keeping management informed of
- Project status and ensuring coordination of Lean activities
- Manage the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring to insure that
- Project goals, objectives and metrics are being met and maintained

Plan

- Engages the plant leadership team in setting and achieving goals utilizing Kaizen/Lean manufacturing initiatives. This includes working with key leadership both functionally and strategically to drive overall improvements in specific areas in the plant




- Create metrics, deployment goals, and objectives to drive accountability throughout the plant
- Create cost-benefit analysis of CI activities
- Lead the implementation of Lean programs/Kaizen initiatives from inception to completion
- Manage the planning, facilitation and completion of Lean projects in the plant to support cost reduction objectives
- Provides input and feedback to key leadership positions about process improvement opportunities

Direct

- Lead efforts to develop and deliver training
- To coach employees to improve processes on their own. Evaluate the performance or ability of employees to understand and apply lean principles.

Maintain

- Monitor activity level of continuous improvement teams and team champions; alert management of additional support needed to achieve desired results




- Maintains current knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices and keeps the
- organization informed
- Organizes, plans, reviews and provides status of projects managed

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

- Extensive experience in working with Kaizen initiatives in a plant level environment is a must
- Has proven exposure in successful implementation of Kaizen or similar QIP models (Lean Management, Six Sigma etc.) with substantial improvement data set
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Required Qualification and Experience

- B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical / Chemical with six sigma certification or lean manufacturing processes
- 15 to 18 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent Leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to handle team and manage crisis situation




- Ability to interpret data as needed to set different matrices
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Location: Atchutapuram, Andhra Pradesh, India.
