Agile Business Analyst

As an Agile Business Analyst, you will partner with product owners and delivery teams to document, groom, review, trace, sign-off, and create user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, and detailed acceptance criteria. You will be responsible for working with product teams to prioritize the book of work, collaborating with delivery teams to define technical solutions, ensuring agile processes and best practices are followed, coordinating feature releases, and ensuring product documentation is current and accurate. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll interact with colleagues in various lines of businesses to learn about challenges and opportunities and translate that insight into high-quality solutions. In addition to working with the development team to create new solutions, you'll help optimize existing technology and identify new capabilities.



While your role requires deep technological skills – including expertise in everything from data management to functional design – it also hinges on teamwork and leadership.

What are my roles and responsibilities?

- Defining, documenting, tracking, grooming, estimating, and reviewing user stories, epics, features, and acceptance criteria.

- Following agile best practices, and participating in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, story grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and product showcases.
Translating requirements into user stories, user-centric designs, and API definitions.

- Partnering with product owners, key stakeholders, and delivery teams to identify solutions.

- Maintaining a healthy sprint backlog that aligns with the product backlog, defined MVPs, and priorities.

- Advising product owners and stakeholders on options, risks, and creative solutions.

- Identifying issues, creating action items, and developing resolutions.

- Obtaining sign-off from key stakeholders, product owners, and end users.

- Collaborating cross-functionally with product and delivery teams.

- Creating help and training documentation for end users and internal support teams.

- Facilitating product training and demonstration sessions.





- Providing assistance with preliminary functional testing, the definition of test scripts, and the coordination of UAT.

- Collaborating with business users and technology partners at all levels.

What skills and experiences would I bring into this role?

- Familiarity with backlog management/collaboration tools such as JIRA, Microsoft TFS, Confluence, and SharePoint.

- Detailed oriented and is able to challenge the status quo for continuous improvement.

- Ability to work as a team player and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

- Energetic and can work under pressure with minimal supervision.

- Ability to develop and articulate well thought out business requirements and acceptance criteria

- Robust analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Experience producing artifacts, including user stories, use cases, product requirements, user journeys, and high-level wire frames.

- Experience with the entire software development life cycle, including project initiation, requirements definition, user acceptance testing, and implementation.

- Excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong experience with agile development methodologies.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications
BE / BTech /MTech with MBA is a must.
5+ years of overall experience and 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Systems Analyst, System Analyst, or Product Owner.
