Job Overview And Responsibilities

This DevOps Engineer creates, maintains, and supports cloud related tools, process, and infrastructure for United’s Revenue Systems portfolio. These platforms run mission-critical and highly complex modules such as Network planning applications, Cargo, Revenue Management & sales.



The engineer will apply contemporary engineering principles around DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering to support Revenue systems portfolio. This role is responsible for partnering with DevOps across the organization to support for mission critical applications, while helping streamline, automate, and mature existing processes. This DevOps engineer operates with a team of talented, nimble engineers and SMEs who bring a lot of energy, focus and fresh ideas that support our mission to improving our platforms.

Maintain and support automation and processes to enable teams to deploy, manage, configure, scale, and monitor applications
Maintaining and supporting highly resilient cloud eco-systems (production and non-production)
Maintain and support world-class, cloud capable, state-of-the-art products by:
Maintaining automated build processes
Incorporating static code quality tools
Helping identify code promotion qualities
Maintaining and supporting deployment patterns like Canary and Blue/Green
